Constitutional Amendment Pros And Cons
The constitution was created on September17th in 1817. The constitution has only been amended only 17 times since its creation. A constitution amendment can be proposed by a majority vote in The House of Representatives and The Senate. This process begins when a member of congress introduces a bill to amend the constitution. The proposal is debated and pondered on by the different committees. Public hearings are help so that the public can express their opinions and concerns. If the proposal is approved by the house and senate committees’ it will be brought for a vote. The final product must be identical in both houses and must receive a two-thirds of the majority vote in order to pass. Another method for proposal of a constitution amendment
