Transnationals can help to boost the economies of developing and underdeveloped countries. Outsourcing can teach valuable skills to people in poverty-stricken countries who might have not had a chance to learn. If developed countries can assist other countries to achieve sustainable prosperity.
Globalization gives us the opportunity to provide sustainable prosperity to all people.
Every country who criticizes Alberta’s way of accessing oil, are being hypocrites if they also purchase it. Governments seem to shine bad light upon those countries that have the slightest imperfections and make it into a huge, disgusting scar. Then, once they figure that they must continue business with the said country, a whole different story is started on how they think it’s just a marvelous idea or the trade is kept a secret. There are a hundred different ways one could view the effects of globalization on sustainable prosperity, and this is one of them. Shipbreaking in Alang,India is also one of them, knowing that the world-system is a global economic system in which goods and service are produced profit and process of capital continuous if the system survived. And let say the system survived does that make the worker in Alang,India use some tools or technologies for the process on breaking a ship even though they’re just making a few dollar a day. Plus they’re getting paid less and also they get some kind of sick because of Hazardous materials include oil sludge, toxic paints, asbestos, halons in foam and firefighting equipment (ozone depleting substances), fuel residues, heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury), organotins or biocides, persistent organic pollutants
(dioxins, PVCs, PAHs), and radioactive substances. Think twice on how people in India that was working for their lives for a couple of buck. It would not concern people if they were given the proper suit or clothing for the work, materials on breaking the ship, proper way on handling
