TO WHAT EXTENT DOES GLOBALIZATION CONTRIBUTe TO SUSTAINABLE PROSPERITY FOR ALL PEOPLE?

The Contribution of Globalization to Sustainable Prosperity As citizens of this country and this world, we may be asked the question. To what extent does globalization contribute to the sustainable prosperity of all people. Many people will not be able to give you an answer, some may give a random explanation of globalization or sustainability that in fact has nothing to do with the topic being spoken of. This shows how much we are unaware of the world we live in today. As responsible global citizens, we must be aware of events occurring around us to a broader level. Transnationals can help to boost the economies of developing and underdeveloped countries. Outsourcing can teach valuable skills to people in poverty-stricken countries who might have not had a chance to learn. If developed countries can assist other countries to achieve sustainable prosperity.
Globalization gives us the opportunity to provide sustainable prosperity to all people.

Every country who criticizes Alberta’s way of accessing oil, are being hypocrites if they also purchase it. Governments seem to shine bad light upon those countries that have the slightest imperfections and make it into a huge, disgusting scar. Then, once they figure that they must continue business with the said country, a whole different story is started on how they think it’s just a marvelous idea or the trade is kept a secret. These are times when globalization seems to be both a good and bad idea. Sustainable prosperity is possible, but only when the world ceases to be ignorant of the issues revolving around it. There are a hundred different ways one could view the effects of globalization on sustainable prosperity, and this is one of them. Shipbreaking in Alang,India is also one of them, knowing that the world-system is a global economic system in which goods and service are produced profit and process of capital continuous if the system survived. And let say the system survived does that make the worker in Alang,India use some tools or technologies for the process on breaking a ship even though they’re just making a few dollar a day. Plus they’re getting paid less and also they get some kind of sick because of Hazardous materials include oil sludge, toxic paints, asbestos, halons in foam and firefighting equipment (ozone depleting substances), fuel residues, heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury), organotins or biocides, persistent organic pollutants
(dioxins, PVCs, PAHs), and radioactive substances. Think twice on how people in India that was working for their lives for a couple of buck. It would not concern people if they were given the proper suit or clothing for the work, materials on breaking the ship, proper way on handling

    Globalization contributes to sustainable prosperity for all people. By sharing ideas and opening trade between different countries, we can cut down on poverty increasing the number of companies competing for the sale of the same good or service. From a consumers perspective this is good because it causes prices to drop and the quality to increase in order to win the consumers business. For lower income people this makes goods more affordable making there money go farther in improving there quality of life. The government, in most countries, limits this to a point by putting tariffs on cheaper foreign goods to try and protect its companies from going out of business, and not allowing foreign transnational companies to control the global marketplace. In 2008, Wal-Mart (WMT) had net income of 12,731,000,000 on total revenue of $378,799,000,000 according to documents filed with the SEC.[ ] Globalization helps flood the market by opening trade with other countries giving consumers more power and the ability to dictate what is being produced and how.
