1) Correctional substance abuse in the State’s prisons is one of the biggest problems that the criminal justice system has to be very keen with. This is especially to make sure that inmates who have this problem are first and foremost recognized and provided with the needed treatment services (Karberg & James, n.d). Substance treatment programs are necessary in prisons so that the prisoners are given a chance to change their ways and facilitation of positive change. It has been established that prisoners who go through the programs have very low chances of experiencing recidivism as well enhancement of public safety.
It has been established that children whose parents are in prions are impacted negatively and have a high chance of becoming criminals at some point in their lives. This is due to the lack of proper development as a child and absence of a mother or a father figure. Some countries have maintained these executions which I find cruel and unconstitutional. This is one of the biggest human wrongs because children being tried as adults is wrong enough. Execution is an extreme measure which should be campaigned against. Children who commit extreme crimes should be taken through long days of rehabilitation programs so that the underlying problem can be known. This in any case should be seen as a case of denial for social responsibility in regards to sentencing children to death. In this regard, the criminal justice system should find better ways of rehabilitation and this should be seen as way of helping the criminals change into law abiding and reformed citizens. This way the society will be said to have given that individual a second chance to change their ways and live a productive
