Dear Dean Smith:
The number 13 rank that the Finance program received at the Neeley School of Business is very appealing and a crucial factor of why I am applying. A degree from Neeley will help my land a job, and that is a crucial step of starting my career and accomplishing my goals. Therefore, it is my priority to receive a world-class education and be a part of the class of 2015.
Being a part of a fraternity has put structure in my life, which has helped me grow as a person. The group structure that comes with being in a fraternity also makes it easier to contribute to the community. Last spring, I helped organize a fundraiser for my fraternity at New Mexico State University. We ended up raising over $6,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network. I am envisioning doing something similar with the fraternity at TCU.
For the past few summers, I worked as an office associate at a successful flooring company. It was a great experience because I had numerous responsibilities at this job. Some of the responsibilities are listed in my enclosed resume. The broad amount of duties at this job taught me the ins and outs of how a successful business is ran. This experience will give me insight in the classroom when we do “real world” projects.
Thank you for the consideration. I look forward for this opportunity. Please contact me if you need any more information or to schedule an interview. My phone number is (575) 650-2624, and my email is j.quigg@tcu.edu.
Sincerely,
Joseph
