starts talking to another women saying,
“I see that look on your face You ain’t hearing what I say, So I’ll say it again ‘Cause I been where you been And I know how it ends You can’t get away, Don’t even look in his eyes, He’ll tell you nothing but lies, And you wanna believe But you won’t be deceived If you listen to me And take my advice.”
She’s trying to tell this other person about this guy that will “break her heart it’s just a matter of time.” She repeats that the other woman should “ run, run away don’t let him mess with your mind, he’ll tell you anything you wanna hear.” The singer keeps telling this other woman to be careful around him and that she needs to stay away from him so he doesn’t give her the wrong idea like he did to her. In the end of the video the singer and the guy she’s been telling about have a face off. She dances with a lot of attitude toward him and he just stands there studying the others, but when they show no interest in him he turns and leaves. Again he is wearing a suit with a trench coat and he’s in the dark and we don’t ever get a really good look at him. I chose this video to analyze because for me it hit close to home.
I had a smooth talker and knew all the right things to say, he wasn’t what he seemed to be, I thought I had a good guy but it turns out he was a snake, just like the guy in the video. When I get asked about him I tell whoever is asking to stay away form him because you might as well drink poison and deal with that pain that the pain of loosing someone that seems to care so much but it turns out they don’t, he just uses someone as a transition before he moves on leaves you like trash. This video defiantly described how I felt about that particular guy a year ago, because I wanted to get away but I couldn’t because he knew the right things to say at the right time to make me rethink
everything.
