CPRTRAINING/FIRSTAID
CLASS/ELECTIVE
Dear Mr. Schilling,
A elective that I think should be available for juniors and seniors next year is a
CPRTraining Class. I think this class would be very beneficial and efficient to out body of students. A CPRTraining/FirstAid class could open up a tremendous amount of opportunities and ideas for young students seeking a career. Also, it’s just great in general to know how to care for someone in immediate situations. Therefore, I have came up with 3 reasons on why we should have this class and if there were any objections, how I would get past them. My first reason why I think we should have this is because it could provide someone with the opportunity to save someone’s life. Saving someone’s life means a lot. Not only will you be portrayed as a hero by witnesses, but more people will come to respect you as a person. It brings out satisfactory qualities about yourself. In addition to this, I would also like to say that it could bring people a sense of joy and a boost in their selfconfidence. Saving someone’s life could raise a person’s ego greatly and could benefit them greatly.
My second point is that the death rate could drop dramatically. According to the
American Heart Association
, if people began to take this class, the survival rate could double or even triple. I strongly agree with this because I think it’s kind of logical. If more people knew how to control emergency situations and injuries, I think less people would be in severe, lifethreatening positions. Therefore, more people could live longer. My last argument is that some jobs require certification in CPR or FirstAid.
Having an elective/class in this could make it easier for you later in life when you prepare to get certified later. How? Well basically you’ll be preprepared. You will have early high school handson experience and
