Rogue had a sister called Lilliana. She was a necromancer that brought back the dead. Her enchanted swamp always seems to weigh Rogue down every time he flew over it.

One day Rogue was roused from a beautiful dream. There were swords clashing outside, and the screams of women and children were a terrible indicator. Rogue peeked out of the window. There were inferno beams shooting everywhere, meteors showered from the sky and exploded into hot magma. Children were running while getting pummeled down by spells. Houses were burned down by hell fire not extinguishable by water. War has started with Roke and Nitraria. There was no way Roke could win. They asked for a volunteer to perform the task, and I gladly accepted.” Standing too far away for his daggers to be effective, although easily remedied very quickly, Nightburn could only smile and laugh at this simplistic attempt on his life. Why he felt so confident, he could not answer, but he knew if the man approached him, the man would die. Agitated by Nightburn’s demeanor, the man stepped forward, daggers raised. Instinctively raising his hand, everything froze, and totally incognizant of how he accomplished such a feat. Rising from his chair, he walked around the room and observed that nothing moved, even the flames of the oil lamps stood perfectly still. He walked to the door and opened it to see Sara stopped in mid-stride halfway down the corridor, then turned back to his room, noticing the clock pendulum had also stopped in mid-swing. Most curious, he thought, time had stopped and he didn’t know how he had achieved this or how he would correct it. Walking over to the would-be assassin, he studied his armor more closely, certain that he had not seen the emblem he wore or the knight in the castle before tonight as he carefully removed the daggers from his hands. With a swift slash to the neck, he ended his life, although no blood flowed from his wound nor did he fall or feel the fatal…

My division was stationed in Normandy, France, at the time of the Allied invasion on June 6, 1944. Toward the end of August or early September, Canadian troops captured me near Dieppe.10 I was with a small group of men who were cut off from our main company and overrun by motorized Allied units. For several days we wandered around searching for our unit, until one night we strayed into a field camp of Canadian soldiers. You can well imagine the astonishment all around when we suddenly appeared in their midst. The Canadians didn’t have a guard posted. This was probably better for all because otherwise we might have exchanged gunfire. Instead, we peacefully turned over our weapons and in return received cigarettes.…

“How did you get out of your mask!?” I yell; more like screeched really but I’m not going to admit to that. I grab my gilded sword and shield, fully knowing that the Fierce Deity could defeat him with his hands tied behind his back, and not even break a sweat while doing so, but I couldn’t just let him leave to do who knows what. He chuckles; a sound that is a hundred times more terrifying than that of a redeads screech; and grabs my sword right out of my hand, then carelessly flings it into the…

What Banner had said, what he had revealed, didn’t register until Loki spoke. Until he put two and two together. Unlike the magician’s placid exterior, the scientist revealed the wild storm raving inside in an exasperated jab against the graffiti, hard steel.
