The fact that it is now about rehabilitation there are more opportunities for people who are considered products of their environment. These resources include work release programs that teach new skills and offer jobs to those who are incarcerated. Also the prison system allows prisoners to further their education while incarcerated as well as completing a degree. Studies have shown when an individual has a education they not only will live a longer life but will be happier. So by the corrections system offering educational programs
