Time management is something I had to learn quickly as I knew I had to be at the radio station by a certain time before my show started, and I had to have everything ready such as the songs and script. Also because this was live, I had to have confidence as I would be working with other radio hosts and broadcasting live across my town. The ability to work as a team also was a skill I had to learn, as I may be doing a single show by myself, but in the background I would have had to be in constant communication with the other hosts. These other hosts and the radio station managers had to depend on me to be there on time, write to a high standard when creating my scripts, and be able to perform in a calm and confident way, which taught me a lot within my year of working there. Many times I may be working in the station alone for half a day, so not only did the managers have to depend on me actually turning up, but they had to have thought I was trustworthy I enjoyed working there though as it taught me many lessons that I believe are going to be vital to my …show more content…
I was completely new to the trade of an electrician, so I had to learn how to follow and carry out instructions that were given to me. I needed to be calm and collected, and listen to what was said so I was about to carry out the instruction first time. This will stick with me for the rest of my life as I know how important is it to fully understand an instruction and complete the action confidently, compared to not listening and causing a problem. I also had to be a likeable person, as I was constantly having to talk to customers, so I had to be courteous and respectful towards them.
