Crispin The Cross Of Lead Analysis
According to Publishers Weekly, “Avi’s plot is engineered for maximum thrills with twists, turns and treachery aplenty. All of the feelings make the reader feel one with the character and get very attached. Also, when one of the characters goes on one of the many adventures the book has, the reader feels scared, worried, powerful and included with that one person.

I enjoy books that have some type of action, and I wasn’t sure that Todd would hold up in that regard. However, the author has enough mystery along with a few twists and turns to really keep the reader interested. The pace, while a little slower, is steady enough that I was able to stay engaged.…

I think the most interesting part of the book was when Crispin and Bear were leaving the city when Aycliffe attacked them. I thought it was interesting because Aycliffe actually died because he walked into a wall of his own soldiers holding swords. I also thought it was interesting that Crisping gives the Cross of Lead to Aycliffe even though he is dead. This shows that Crispin keeps his promises. When I was reading it I thought that Aycliffe would try to kill Crispin in the manor when he was leading him to…

I always loved a novel with a good twist. Some of the characters in this one are bringing the plot at one point or another that makes you wanna bite your nails. Besides that this is a great book with a storyline that unravels slowly before it becomes truly interesting. But lets not write all the details since then you wouldnt have to read it. I am impressed with author vision of certain things that are making this piece unique. For starters it looks like you have some ordinary characters from good criminal plot. It is the way Donovan Creed adds these little details that would by and come back after as a boomerang when you realize what is going on. No wonder his books are on the top lists. My closure is that you dont want to miss this masterpiece.…

The book took you on an emotional rollercoaster filled with ups and downs. This book was filled with surprises and there was never a dull moment. The book wasn’t just enjoyable it also was meaningful. It taught me that even when you feel like nothing is going right, it will always be alright at the end. This was also said by Ran, one of Fern’s best friends with his famous quote, “All will be well” (83). I have read many books in my lifetime and I am proud to say that this book has become one of my favorites. What I feel really made this book entertaining to read was that you could really feel the emotion that each character felt. In most fictional books the emotions aren’t strong enough to feel, which makes this book stand out from the rest. The book was also very relatable in many ways, which is different from most novels I have read. One way I related to this book was that Fern was a twelve-year old girl in middle school, like I was last year and will be for a short amount of time this year. The other way that I related to this book was, they lost someone very close to them unexpectedly like I did with my dog Cookie. Charlie was very young when he died and so was Cookie. She was only four years old. This book had all the aspects of a great novel, which made it very entertaining to…

The book Noughts and Crosses is a sitting on the fence sort of book for me. The writing of it hooked you in and made you think but I absolutely hated what happened in the end. The plot was good but as I said I didn’t like some things that occurred during the novel, like the fact Callum dying made me want to scream and rip my hair out (I did restrain myself by the way). But the fact that I did want to do that was because you grew attached to the characters, as if they were real people. (Even if they’re not, they could be in the future, you never know...) I hated/ loved that about the book.…
