1. The “dream” of a house, a healthy family, and a solid career isn’t a dream at all, but simply a plan. The American dream is still alive because there are so many options now for buying a home and as far as a healthy family, it depends on the family members. After all, you cannot choose who your family is. A solid career is possible, but you do need higher education in order to obtain these higher paying jobs. Modern technology has made going to college easier than ever before with online classes that we are able to work on around our life’s schedule.

Explain how people might be treated differently based on these three items: how might people be treated better and worse because of their economic status? People are judged by where they live. An example would be when I was growing up in Pittsfield I had a friend who lived on Washington Street. My parents would never allow me to go to his home because Washington Street was known as drug alley. Even though my friend did not use drugs. He was judged simply by where he lived. I have some older friends who know nothing about technology and would not know how to use it. They do not have the internet or a cell phone and say that they do not need it. We sometimes tease them by calling them Fred Flintstone and ask how everything is in Bedrock. I think that now a day’s technology has become a necessity and not just a luxury. People are treated differently when they go to the hospital and do not have any insurance. I remember when I did not have health insurance I had to go to the emergency room one night and they did just the minimum treatment possible in order to get me out the door. But now that I have insurance. I get a double breathing treatment and they even call someone down from respiratory to evaluate me. I now feel like I get the Gold Star Package whenever I have to go
