Crown Center: A Short Story
One day where the sun was shining, with perfect weather during the Summer, my parents had decided on this day, that we were going downtown to go to the Sea Life Aquarium in Crown Center. After about 15 minutes, we had arrived at our destination. After we had gotten out of our dirty, blue car, we went inside and went to pay for our tickets. When we got our tickets, the worker showed us where to go, and when she opened the door, I noticed a lot of people surrounding the different types of sections. There was also this activity where every station we went to, we had to stamp it in our booklets. It had pictures depending on what area we are arriving in.

I just stood there, looking at the seahorses, there so pretty and elegant, I thought to myself, until I heard someone saying,”Mandy, where are you?” It was my mom calling my name.
“I’m coming!” I exclaimed. Before I had left, I took pictures of the seahorses, and also took videos of them going to other seahorses. When I tried finding my mom, she was on a balcony with the rest of my family.
“Over here!” My sister said.. I went up to the balcony, but as soon as I got there, I was terrified one again. I was absolutely terrified of being over or above anything. Something that was even more scarier, was that we were above a fish tank, so we could easily fall. Luckily, there were handles. After we got off, our trip was sadly ending. At the end, there was a souvenir shop. My sister got a snow globe with two striped fishes swimming around, and I got a key chain of a dolphin with blue, green, and purple colored over it. That was a really fun trip, one of the funnest trips I had ever

For twelve years I got to see everything she did. We went to Disneyland once! It was awesome! My favorite ride was Splash Mountain. First, we went into the boat thing. Markie was in front of us and Randall behind us. They are her brothers. We creaked up the slope and turned left. We went to the right and through a short tunnel. Small figures were everywhere, as we slowly went up a steep hill. When we got to the top water was all over the place. I had wondered why. KA-BOOM!!!!!!! We were going down the biggest hill ever! Water was getting in my hair. Markie, Lisa, and Randall were screaming at the top of their lungs. Thirty feet, twenty feet ten feet, SPLASH!!!! I got so wet, that I wouldn’t have to take bath for a month! The water was up to Lisa’s feet in the boat. It was slow for the rest of the ride, but there was a lot of chatter going on, but mom ands dad looked scared. “Want to go on It’s a small world?” asked Helen. Melvin just nodded.…

“Really?” I wanted to come up with something more extravagant and complicated. I stared at her for what seems like hours, but only is meer milliseconds. I turn around and race out of the bathroom, looking back at the sign she checked to make sure I was in the right restroom. I run past the bar hearing the drunk people cackle after downing shots of hard liquor. I race up the stairs. My vision is blurred from the tears forming in my eyes. The lights seem to have darken. Quickly, I wiped the tears from my eyes, restoring my vision. After my long search, I found my family, sitting at a table in the corner of the room. I ran into my mom’s arms. She was confused but still embraced me not knowing the reason for my sadness.…
