Cultural Norms In China
The cultural norms for China that are different than my own cultural norms are, bringing a gift if invited to their home and gifts are not normally opened when received (Commisceo Global, 2016a). The dining etiquette is that you will be instructed where to sit, must eat with chopsticks, take a break and replace chopsticks to the chopstick rest after every few bites and when drink or stop to speak. The Chinese are not acustom to long eye contact while speaking to a person, you may notice that a lot of them look down at the ground while speaking to show respect.
