Did you know that soldiers and peasants had to work on the Wall of DBQ in extreme weathers like -20 to -30 degrees, but the peasants and soldiers were doing for the greater good.The Great Wall of DBQ was 13,170 miles long and it took lots and lots of years to complete. (Doc C) the Xiongnu tribute was were they gave silks and other thing to the Xiongnu witch helped the Xiongnu calm down and made them not want to attack the wall or the people as much.The Wall also provide protection on the northern border from the Xiongnu. Without the wall on the northern border many more people could of died from invasions from the Xiongnu. The people that were forced to settle near the wall was a smart decision because they were not very important already but when they settled near the border it helped as a second barrier against the Xiongnu. In my evidence (Doc B) says the Wall extended 300 miles which created protection for the trading ports witch increased trade. Since it went out to the trading ports traders were more comfortable trading at the ports under the protection of the wall, witch made more traders go back and forth witch in effect increasing trade. (Doc A) shows that the wall protected the trading ports and it protected the border. The Wall was extended 300 miles so it would go out to some of the trading ports so most of the traders would stay In the protection of the wall and they would go back and forth a lot which in effect increased trade because the traders were in the protection of the wall they felt safe that they would not get attacked from the Xiongnu or some
