The myth of Daedalus and Icarus reveals the conflict between youth and maturity. Idealistic attitude to life, and imprudence lead to Icarus’s death. On the other hand, the sedate Daedalus, familiar with the life and the laws of physics sculptor, did not succumb to the allure of freedom and arrived at his destination.
Icarus is, however, not so much mindless as tragic figure. Fulfilling his dream of freedom and happiness, he fell into a trap of euphoria and imprudence that always lies in wait for adventurers and dreamers.
