Title: Damage of the environment is an inevitable consequence of worldwide improvements in the standard of living. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Your essay should be between 800 and 900 words long. Both drafts must be typed, double spaced, fully referenced in-text and with a complete end text reference list. Collusion or deliberate plagiarism will result in a grade of 0%.
Your tutor will provide you with a selection of sources. You must refer to at least 3 of the sources you have been given by your tutor in your essay. In addition, you will need to do further research, and must refer to at least 2 academic sources which you have found. In other words, your essay make direct reference to 3 or more sources provided by your tutor and 2 or more sources selected by yourself.
You should approach all sources critically; including those you are given. Consider whether the sources are reliable, whether you agree with them or not, whether they have a particular agenda or bias etc. The sources you are given are intended to help you start thinking about the topic. They are not intended to give you all the information you need, nor are you required to agree with them. Your work towards the final draft (your notes, plan, rough draft, first draft etc) will be assessed in your PORTFOLIO.
