Topic 1: The Data Mining Process: Data mining is the process of analyzing data from different perceptions and summarizing it into useful evidence that can be used to increase revenue, cut costs or both. Data mining software is one of a number of analytical tools for analyzing data. It allows users to analyze data from many different dimensions or angles, categorize it and summarize the relationships identified. Association, Clustering, predictions and sequential patterns, decision trees and classification are the data mining techniques. It is a promising and relatively new technology. Data mining is defined as a process of discovering hidden valuable knowledge of analyzing large amounts of data, which is stored in databases or data warehouse, using various data mining techniques such as machine learning, artificial intelligence and statistical. Many organizations in various industries are taking advantages of data mining including manufacturing, marketing, chemical and aerospace to increase their business efficiency. Therefore the needs for a standard data mining process amplified intensely. A data mining process must be consistent and it must be repeatable by business people with little or no knowledge of data mining background. Data mining process plays an important role in building the various implementations using several techniques to get better results from the model. It is being approved by all multinational companies for their business purposes. There are several processes in the data mining such as Business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, data modeling, deployment and data evolution. All these processes are very important during their phase and strongly recommended to perform as per their designed functionality. Actual deliverable of each and every process means a lot for any business organization to achieve results which are very helpful to growth in the business.
