I like how the story started out on the normal operations of the daycare center and how Keeley enjoyed the experience. I enjoyed it when you added when Keeley noticed that her daughter’s new friend was infertile and would soon be rejected from the tribe. I feel this creates an appealing tension, and helps us explore an interesting aspect of the world. It is unfortunate, this tension was not developed further in the story. …show more content…
I know the theater is crowded and have a good idea what a movie theater looks like (though I am not sure if it is a well-maintained theater or run-down). Knowing how crowded the theater is and reading your description of the yelling and screaming occuring during the lake tribe’s attack, we get a sense of the crowd’s panic.
One issue I have with details is we don’t get a sense of how far away the theater is, and how Keeley and the children get there. Is the theater close by and the group is just walking there are do they need to ride there? The story seems to suggest they leave and just get there, somehow. Based on the description alone, I would have to assume the theater is a short walk from the daycare center. Is this
