Poverty has been an ongoing problem throughout history everywhere in the world. There will always be people who are homeless and hungry. Even today, there are still many people that are struggling to feed their kids, find a shelter and find warm clothing. This social problem has had multiple impacts through the world. However, there are many solutions that are available to eliminate this social problem. Many things that can cause poverty are hunger, vulnerability and powerlessness.
Hunger deprives those living in absolute Poverty of the skill and strength to carry out productive work. Over nine million people die worldwide each year because of hunger and malnutrition. 5 million are children. Approximately 1.2 billion people suffer from hunger. Hunger is a main reason why the poor can’t work because the hunger is stopping them. Hunger not only affects poverty but can also cause.
Another thing that can cause Poverty is vulnerability. Natural disasters, economic crises, and conflict leave the poor vulnerable with nobody to help and a lack of resources to use to help themselves. Think what would you do if a tornado came through and just took your house? Many people would have nowhere to go and end up living off the streets.
The last thing that can cause Poverty is being powerless. People living in absolute poverty often have no political power. The lack of voice and power cause them to be separate from the rich. The poor have no voice or power causing nobody to pay any attention. Without the voice and power they get looked down upon.
In Conclusion there are many things that can affect and cause poverty. Everywhere you go there will be poverty. As the economy gets worse and more natural disasters occurs it causes the number of poverty people to rise. Homelessness and Poverty are impossible to measure with 100% accuracy. Our task in ending homelessness is more important now than ever

Poverty is a complicated issue. It is a phenomenon not limited to the third world. It’s an issue even faced by the wealthiest countries. There are many reasons and causes, and there are equally as many disagreements on where the blame should lay. Those who are in poverty often blame society for making it impossible to escape from their situation. Poverty also tends to affect groups within society differently. One of the main divides is gender based where women are more likely to find themselves falling within the lower levels and in greater numbers into poverty.
