I. The Deaf community is a very close knit group of people A. Their number one form of communication is ASL B. Not being able to hear is not seen as a disability to them, but as a social difference. a. They see themselves as completely able people, the only difference between them and the hearing world is sound. b. Many deaf people are happy they don’t have to hear a lot of things the hearing are forced to hear.
II. There are various forms of entertainment associated with Deaf Culture C. There are Deaf movie events using Deaf actors and subtitles. D. There are also Deaf plays, where the actors sign while there is a voiced narration in the background. E. There are also specific sections of non-deaf stadiums that include a translator for deaf audience members.
