The death penalty is a subject that has been overlooked since the eighteen century B.C. The cost for executing is one of the main reasons many are apposed to it. According to, ProCon.org it costs more to execute someone rather than keep them in jail for life. Approximately, it costs around 2 million dollars a case as apposed to 1 million for life in prison. Execution is paid through tax payers, which is another reason why multitude of people disagree with it. If the money is being spent on executions, why not instead help those whom have been affected by the crime?
