You might again be thinking that since prison is worse, as I said earlier, then wouldn’t you want them to go to prison so they would suffer more? The answer is no, it is not about getting revenge and getting to see the murderer be tortured so you can be satisfied, it's about honoring the person's death and knowing there is no chance that person will get to harm another human being ever again. There is no point in putting someone in prison for life for them to suffer, the person they killed is gone, gone from their home, gone from their families, gone from this world, and nothing is going to change that. To keep the public safe and to honor the victims death you must simply put an end to all of it, including the criminal.
The problem is too many people think the death penalty needs to go, and that life in prison is the obvious answer. The death penalty may seem bad, but in true reality it does great things for this country. The death penalty is not cruel, lowers crime rate, and represents true justice, why would you want to get rid of it?
