Often times on celebrity news shows, they talk about bad things that celebrities have done like cheating on someone else, or even worse like doing drugs or assaulting someone, but I have also seen celebrities being good role models when they donate the money they win on some game show to a charity of their choice or by raising awareness for something like bullying. This demonstrates that some of your favorite celebrities may

They influence you to be the best that you could be. Nowadays, we are being exposed to negative role models in the music industry. Many celebrities don’t realize that they are a role model to others. Some celebrities are not aware that their music motivates and inspires many people. For example, Miley Cyrus. Many people see her as a horrible role model because of her actions lately. Many believe that she has changed for the worst and instead of encouraging her fans to do good, she has developed an auspicious image of herself. Miley transitioned from an inspirational character on Disney Channel to a rebel involved with drugs, alcohol, and being provocative. Young kids look up to her and she is demonstrating a poor example because she’s influencing them to make careless, terrible decisions in the future. She makes her actions seem acceptable when in reality, they’re…

Celebrities are widely considered the most influential people of the 21st century, possibly exceeding the pertinence possessed by famous politicians and religious leaders. Celebrities alone embody the means to win over countless of hearts with their charismatic winsome looks or unique characteristic skills. The extensive power that these celebrities hold therefore leads us to ponder: Do these personalities exploit their position in society to only offer nothing in return? Personally, I believe that celebrities are cognizant of their leveraging influence and by no means exploit them. However, I must disagree that celebrities offer nothing in return to our society. There are copious reasons behind my opinion and this statement will aim to elucidate the basis for my argument.…

Should we admire heroes but not celebrities ? Arthur Ashe in Worth Repeating once said , " Heroes have the urge to serve others at whatever cost . So these people can easily acquire respect . Celebrities are other group of people who can be easily known by people . Many people believe celebrities are not as good as heroes , because there are so many different kinds of celebrities and some of them are known for their bad behaviors . In my opinion , those notorious people are not real celebrities . People should admire both heroes and celebrities . The action of Nicholas James Vujicic who has a strong will is a good example that demonstrates that celebrities also deserve to gain admiration . Vujicic is famous motivation speaker who was born with…

American culture has been shaped and influence by visual entertainment in so many ways. Celebrities influence our society every day. In this society celebrities have a large impact on people life. From cars to fashion trends, the way they live, their attractiveness of a celebrity lifestyle, can influence a person behavior and their beliefs. Celebrities even have this weight loss thing going on, as if it’s not ok to be overweight. This often starts at an early age in a kid’s life. My oldest niece is 10 years old and she wants to be like ever young star she sees on TV. She always tells me she can’t eat too much because she doesn’t want to gain too much weight. It’s crazy because she actually sits at the table and pretends as if she isn’t really hungry. She chooses to imitate Hannah Montana. She love her she look up to her as an idol. As a child I looked up to celebrities because they all had big money. Any celebrity you know has a nice car, house, and job. Jennifer Hudson has this commercial for weight watcher where it shows how much weight she has loss. It has gotten me to the point where I want to try losing some weight. The way the celebrities live make you want more in life. I want to make enough money so I can put my boys through college and live comfortable lives were I want have to work all my life. Celebrities influence society in a good and bad way it all depends on how you were raise and were you want to go in life. Like my mother always told her girls “It’s not where you come from in life it were you want to go in life”. In some ways it influences children in a bad way, when they have different movies of artists acting out in a ghetto movie. Some artist plays the dope dealer or the gang banger in a movie. My son love movies like that for some odd reason this type of action gets their attentions. Every time I see him looking at a gangster movie I tell him to turn the TV and put on some cartoon. He…

Often, people fail to remember that celebrities are just humans like everyone else. Fans put celebrities on a pedestal, idolizing them perhaps realizing it or not realizing it. If a favored celebrity makes a decision, children all across America may feel the need to make the same decision, regardless if it is morally a good or bad idea.75% of young adults idolize celebrities and consider them role models (Shaw et al. 577). This is an issue due to the heavy amount of influence a celebrity’s decision may bring to young viewers and that can impact young viewers. For example, research found that listening to explicit music can bring abrasive and harsh actions. Likewise, being consumed with a celebrity and their actions can cause people to alter and change their own behavior to resemble the celebrity more accurately (Shaw et al. 576). Celebrity obsession can cause a young admirer to make negative behavior decisions such as drug abuse or developing an eating disorder.…

Celebrities are the role models of many, especially younger aged people. They are idolized and copied. Their actions have some of the biggest influences on our generation, mostly because of the hype created by the media. Their actions are constantly being talked about in the media, and to society's growing youth, this has caused a great problem. They do outrageous things and are often involved in scandals. Their lifestyles themselves are often one big scandal. They are thought of as god-like, so what they do must not be wrong. They are famous, so they are always right; they have to be. This is the perception of American citizens. They think it is okay to imitate celebrities from what they wear to the lives they live, because they are of higher class. They are the role models, even though they are corrupting the morals of people. Especially now with programs such as MTV, celebrities are being exposed everyday, and these innocent children and teens are being forced images and guidelines to follow in order to be like their favorite celebrity. This is a danger to society. It changes and corrupts everyone's morals.…
