Everyone will experience stress everyday of their life. It is just the fact that people need to learn how to overcome stress and not let it take over them. It’s not easy to overcome but it is possible to get through.
Usually people go through little stressors, which another word for it described by scientists is called hassles. It is said that hassles cause more stress than major life events do. There are daily hassles in people’s everyday life like irritating, frustrating experiences such as just standing in line and waiting, being stuck in traffic, waiting for an appliance or utility repair technician just to come to that person’s house and many more. That just goes to show that anything in this world can stress from the smallest, little thing to the very biggest annoying causes of stress. Research has also shown that both adults and their children expect to experience more stress when facing negative life events that happen unexpectedly. Such as the death of a loved one that ranks among the highest life changing in causing stress. Other than dealing with stress generated by more controllable stressors or hassles like low grades or missing a class.
As said before there are many symptoms of stress that everyday people go through. Life can, from time to time, be extremely challenging, placing extremely difficult demands on the body and mind. It is important to know that not all stress is harmful; in fact, in some situations it may increase productivity and response to stimuli, as long as it is within a person’s comfort zone. However, if stress begins to take over and control the system, it can be detrimental to that person’s physical, emotional and cognitive health.
There is also the loss of mental ability in which stress tends to affect the cognitive ability of the brain. Stress overload typically causes loss of mental agility in several ways. Therefore, when an individual is stressed, they may experience memory loss, confusion and lack of concentration. These signs are not taken seriously and are passed off as showing carelessness or laziness. However, stress levels do not cut down over time, people may find themselves seriously handicapped in situations where their mental agility and alertness are required. Naturally, experts are liable to be most affected by this negative manifestation of stress their productivity tends to decrease significantly with when over-stressed.
Another symptom are aches and pains.
Those are also one of the worst to come through that cause extreme stress. And it’s sometimes a pain to overcome. It takes a lot out of a person during the day and causes change in mood. The body’s reaction to stress effects like that is the production of “fight or flight” hormones which, in order to prepare the body against a threat, cause the muscles to tense, blood vessels to constrict, heart to beat faster and digestive tract to slow down. When acute stress transforms into chronic stress over time, the effect of the stress hormones is not reversed and muscles remain tense. And it becomes a consequence for many individuals in which, they suffer from headaches, migraines, neck and shoulder pain, as well as shooting pains in the back. In some individuals, stress-induced hypertension may produce its own set of aches and
pains.
However, the very worst stressors that people come across are catastrophic events like large earthquakes, hurricanes and wars. Many people sometimes don’t know how to react to such a dangerous event that happens naturally in the earth. They lose their homes, their vehicles and mostly everything that was made in their homes, all their belongings and all they worked for. It’s not easy to get over something like that. That’s very tragic for many people around the world.
The second is are normally major life changing causes that are positive or negative. Mostly marriage, divorce, death of a parent, beginning a new job, starting college. Those are things that everyone in today’s world go through every single day. Marriage and then divorcing are really things that are not easy to overcome especially because there was love that established a relationship to last forever. Beginning a job and starting college happens constantly for parents and their children. It’s a part of life and a way of growing up. And lastly, minor hassles like traffic jams and noisy environments. Those are understandable but many people need to realize that they’re going to witness that every single day of their lives. It’s a daily thing that they should get used to but for many people the stress for that is too real.
In the end, stress is something that many people should be able to fight against no matter what the natural stress cause because people shouldn’t let it get the best of them they should be the ones getting the best of it and controlling it at the end of the day.
