Human skeleton may sometime suffer from some deformities. These may be congenital due to some sort of genetic disorder or may be the result of hormonal deficiencies or simply malnutrition.
Some of the common skeleton related diseases are as follows: • Disc slip • Osteoarthritis • Spondylitis • Sciatica • Rheumatism
Disc slip:
Vertebrae of our body are provided with intervertebral discs which act as shock absorber. They provided mobility to vertebrae and act as safety devices to avoid the grinding hence wearing of successive vertebrae. If, unfortunately due to physical trauma the cartilaginous ring of a disc ruptures and displaces, it is called a disc slip. This protrusion presses upon a spinal nerve, emerging from the spinal cord in between the vertebrae, causing severe pain and unability to move. Prolonged rest on a hard bed and use of painkillers help repair this damage.

Osteoarthritis:
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease in which joint cartilage is gradually lost. It results from combination of aging, obesity, irritation of the joints, muscles weakness, wear and abrasion. Osteoarthritis is the common type of arthritis. The main symptom is pain, causing loss of ability and often stiffness. "Pain" is generally described as a sharp ache, or a burning sensation in the associate muscles and tendons. Osteoarthritis commonly affects the hands, feet, spine, and the large weight bearing joints, such as the hips and knees, although in theory, any joint in the body can be affected.
Osteoarthritis caused by congenital or pathogenic causes; mechanical injury; overweight; loss of strength in muscles supporting joints; and impairment of peripheral nerves, leading to sudden or uncoordinated movements that overstress joints.
Treatment generally involves a combination of exercise, lifestyle modification, and analgesics. If pain becomes debilitating, joint replacement surgery may be used to
