The shipping cost is about the same if not more than if the individual drove to the store to purchase the product. If consumers discover that the item they have already purchased is offered at a lower price later on they will return it and repurchase it. Two benefits from shopping in-store are getting out of the house and physical activity from walking around a store. Another benefit for shoppers is the instant satisfaction of taking purchased items home instead of waiting for the products to be shipped.
