“Each Year more than 40 million Americans will suffer from and anxiety disorder and over 20 million will suffer from some type of depressive illness. The cost to the economy of these terrible diseases is billions of dollars each year; the cost in human suffering is immeasurable” (National Anxiety and Depression Awareness Week”,yyyy, para. 1). Most cases of anxiety is accompanied with depression and vice versa; living with one is difficult, imagine living with both. They are among the leading causes of suicide, every year suicides are rapidly increasing. The National Suicide Prevention Hotline had reported to Medicalnewstoday.com that between 2010 and 2011 their volume of calls increased by 14% (Rattue, 2004-2103, para. 1).
