Descriptive Essay: A Concert In Nashville
It was early September when my mother made the announcement; she had purchased the concert tickets along with Meet and Greet. But these wasn't just any concert tickets, they were tickets to see my favorite country duo Dan + Shay! I was beyond excited. but just when I thought my day couldn't possibly get any better than in that moment, I learned the concert was in Nashville, Tennessee. to most people, Nashville was just another city, but not to me. To me, Nashville was exciting and fun and held great times to come. I started to count down the days until we left. One very long month later, everyone's bags were packed and we was off to Tennessee! After five lengthy hours and passing through a time zone, I spotted the breathtaking view of Nashville. As we entered our hotels parking lot, I got out of the car and stared in awe of all the bright colorful lights and building against the dark night sky. It was stunning. My family and I walked into the hotel to be greeted by a welcoming smile from the lady behind the desk. We got our room keys and went to out room. It was decorated with pictures of guitars and a warm welcoming goldish yellow wallpaper. Although it was already nine o'clock, our night had just began. We decided to go out and find where the concert would take place the following …show more content…
It had been a very cloudy and rainy day, which worried me due to the fact we would be in line outside for a few hours. Before going to the venue, we stopped and had lunch at White Castle. This had also worried me thinking we wouldn't get to see Dan or Shay walk in. Soon after we pulled into the venues parking area and there he stood. Dan Smyers was inches away from me. My dad quickly parked the car to let out my sister, mother, and myself. The three of us walked quickly and quietly to where we had seen him. He was about to go inside when he saw us walking towards him. He greeted us with a

One thing most people think about concerts are the costs of the tickets or how much money they will spend. If I went the Michigan concert, I would spend less money than I would if I were to go to Indiana. This reason, is because the tickets will be 40% cheaper, and I wouldn’t have to pay for a hotel room. The location of the concert is three hours away, and we would like the road trip away from home, but that…

I went straight back to practicing because the concert would come to me in a blink of an eye. My heard was beating so hard it felt like someone was pounding hammer on my chest, I was shaking, sweating, disey, everything you could possibly imagine I felt like I was about to faint. Guitar has been one of they most important things in my life since I first started at age 6 and it just started to come naturally. I was doing great while practicing and had finally nailed every song I played. Playing up on this stage with this band would soon decide my future, if I fail I could never get this chance again and if I do good I could soon be playing all the time, my dream would come true. I had always had my own band with my friends since a young age and we were good but had never played on a stage, and if I were to do good at the concert my band also could start to become…

The concert I went for was Steven Wilson’s concert and it took place at Rogers Arena. The genre of Steven Wilson’s band was in Rock genre and was on…. Steven Wilson was from Britain and this was the first time for him to have a concert in Vancouver. There was one drum, two electric guitars, one electric piano that were on the stage, the lights were flashing with different colors during the entire concert which made this concert more memorable. The synthesizers and the sheet music were on the floor that looked natural in this performance. The audience were so excited and they were patient while waiting the concert to begin. Some of them wore the T-shirt with Steven Wilson on them which showed they were a big fan of him. This concert ties with…

Have you ever experienced an overload of every sense at once? Well, live concerts can almost take you there. The day's temperature was doing great and it was in a perfect conditions to sit down and listen to some great historical Classical pieces. Although the time of the concert was a little late and I was almost out of energy to fully appreciate the performance, I got the best out of this magnificent performance. The concert as I like to name was the continuation from last weekend concert. Both concert were called "El Paso's Summer Music Festival which took place at UTEP's Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. This concert although it had a small size of audience, it had a great ambience to fully enjoy this great performance offered by stupendous musicians. This concert, as well as the one last week was in honor of J.O. Stewart jr. and Marlene Stewart, who have contributed generously to the Arts in El Paso. This concert was a little different from the one last week; it only presented a great selection of brass instruments.…

I do not remember the exact date of the concert however I do remember it was one of the first really cold days of Winter. My girlfriend had told me about the concert weeks earlier but I had forgotten until she mentioned it that evening. I was strongly against going and suggested she bring a friend instead of myself but none of her friends could attend. I was certainly not looking forward to this event, especially since it wasn 't even required for myself for any reason whatsoever. We arrived at the Stony Brook Staller Center extremely uncomfortable in the frigid weather. I was even more appalled when I found out that the concert would cost almost $20 for the two of us. We were seated in a rather large room and we waited with much anticipation and anxiety, I wanted the music to begin for the sole reason that the sooner it started, the sooner it would end. The audience was primarily made up of older people over the age of 55 years old. It was not what I would label: "my scene". The already large hall harbored a packed audience of 500 or so people. The audience was noisy and also seemed to be squirming with anticipation, probably for a varying reason than myself. The concert began and I was astonished as to…

I remember sitting on my beige couch, watching the time click on the wall. I was excited for the hands of the clock to reach the hour I had been waiting. As the minutes passed, I began to get ready for what I had been anticipating- the concert of the summer. This was to be my present to my sister for her twelfth birthday- two tickets for 5 Seconds of Summer, a pop punk band that we both enjoyed.…

It was a school day, but as you can guess, i had no intention of going to school. I had bought that beautiful little piece of paper reading, “Lamb of God.Floor” a couple months ahead of time, and had been counting each painfully slow minute since. The calendar had been mocking me, testing my patience for the last two months, but today i come out on top. My suffering has almost come to an end. My patience is finally about to pay off. The only thing standing between myself, and the most glorious experience of my life, was a few hundred miles of interstate, and a line of eager fans much like myself. Now, I had been waiting for this life changing experience for far too long to not be right up front, looking my idols in the eye. So i planned my trip so I would be the first person in line, and the first to the front of that stage. It’s 4 in the morning, and I have to leave right now!…

On March 16th I attend the Rocky Rock Band and Reason concert at Losekamp at Rocky Mountain College. I had a rollercoaster of a night listening to the tunes of The Rocky Rock Band and Reason. The crowd was slightly small, but very enthusiastic. The setting had a very cool feel with the awesome lighting and they stage was set up very well. One other very wonderful aspect of the night was the free food that was a very nice touch. I was not too sure about how the concert was going to go. I have never heard a rock band nor have I heard a rapper in person. I was actually slightly excited to be able to see one in person.…

So we arrive to the jazz in the garden, there a long line to get in, people was still trying to buy ticket at the gate ,some was selling ticket for low price. When we finally got inside, there was an art exhibit, t-shirt selling, and many vendors were selling different varieties of products, photographers were taking photo of the crowd. The sun was shining in brightly and violently onto our pale skin through the small crack of the curtain that was left partially open from the night before. As I slowly began to wake I realized a shadow standing off to the side of my bed, quickly I opened my eyes straining to see this figure through the incoming sun beams. The figure moved and I soon realized it was just my husband Cody as he came closer I let out a long sigh in relief, and giggled a little out loud. He sat on the side of our lumpy bed and smiled down at me, he began with saying good morning and then rushed me out of bed and we started towards the kitchen together hand in hand him with the same smile he woke me up with. Urgently we stopped, and I looked at him with confusion. Cody with the smile that never left his face started to talk and was rushing with excitement “I have booked a trip for us, a trip to New York; we leave in just one hour.” And with that I was at a loss for words.…
