Descriptive Essay On Spirit Week
Spirit Week (Oct 5-9) kicked off this year with the classic "Pajama Day", the majority of the students dressed in their adorable onesies and pajama pants. Twin day followed after, and the Juniors lead in winning the Spirit cup. But, with Homecoming and Pep Rally Day coming up on the horizon; each class determined to have more spirit and participants than the others for Spirit Week. Freshman, Madison Contestable, told us her class has enough spirit to win the Spirit Cup: "For sure. I know I do, I've done every single day." As Lauren Wiseman, a Junior, said, "I'm wishing the Juniors had more spirit." Entering the third day of Spirit Week, each class put in their all for another classic: Wacky Tacky Day. Bright colors and funky outfits roamed the halls during the entire school day. But to fit the overall theme of Spirit Week along with the Homecoming Dance was …show more content…
So that'll be fun." Pep Rally progressed with the classes' decade mascots making an appearance, and to start the Pep Rally the classes faced off in the Frozen T-shirt Relay. As the students, pulled and pulled on the frozen fabric, each class made up their own method of trying to de-crumble the frozen tee. In the end, the Juniors were victorious. Balloon Pop Relay, another heart racing game and had specially brought the school's spirit up. Timeless, Tug-O-War had each class clenching their teeth and pulling the long rope as if their life depended on it. As time advanced, Seniors won, again maintaining the upperclassmen title. "The Seniors are gonna be on top and gonna win this," Jordan Johnson mentioned, "we’re taking home the trophy." And Jordan was right. At the end of an eventful Spirit Week, the Seniors took home the Spirit Cup once again. A great triumphant start to the 2016 Senior's final year at Maplewood Richmond

    “The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down’’ by Anne Fadiman represents true story of the epileptic Hmong girl and her family displaced from China to the USA.
