Descriptive Essay: The Red Death

Amidst the chaos of the Red Death, Prince Prospero and a few of his friends escape to one of his castles that is closed off from the outside world. They cut off means of entering or exiting the castle to protect themselves from the Red Death. After 5-6 months, the prince decides to throw a masquerade ball for his friends. He decorates lavishly, and each of his 7 rooms is painted a different color. When the guests get to the 7th room, it’s painted black, but the window is scarlet instead of black. In one of the hallways was an enormous ebony clock with a strange, almost eerie ring.
