Deciding on purchasing a desktop computer or a laptop computer can be a tough choice; one should consider a few guidelines. Some of these guidelines have to do with the physical aspect of the two computers, functioning of the computers, and the cost and reliability. When buying a desktop or laptop computer it is a good idea to know what you’re looking for.
The physical aspect is a really important thing to look at when buying a desktop or laptop computer. Screen size fits in this aspect. Both laptop and desktop computers have a wide variety of screen sizes from large too small. The next aspect in the physical category is the keyboard. With a laptop the keyboard is attached to the computer, but with a desktop computer you have a wide variety of keyboards one can choose from. Next, is portability of the two types of computers. A desktop computer will need to be connected to a constant power source. While the laptop only requires a power source to charge the battery, which makes it a lot more portable.
The functioning of these computers is also a very important point one should consider before making purchase. The processer is the most important part of every computer. With a higher quality processer a computer will run a lot smoother and faster. Usually you will get a better quality processer when buying a desktop computer. Next, is ease of use. A desktop can be a little bit more complicated to set up than a laptop because it has a lot more cables that need to be plugged in to set it up. A laptop on the other hand only has a charging cable.
