Staff Sergeant Barbara made me want to work hard with each and every moment we had at work. From the leadership I had in the past I was taught to do as little as possible so as to keep our customers from wanting more from us. This way of thinking is a terrible work ethic but hard to change when you have not been taught otherwise. Staff Sergeant Barbara showed me how to do as much as humanly possible for others by helping out in any way possible. This not only makes your customers appreciate you but also makes you realize you are making a difference in people lives for the better as well.…

Donna’s individual performance was impressive. She was able to deliver results and her groups performed well on key metrics. Apple was the perfect place for Donna since being a young company light on formality that underwent frequent reorganizations. Apple’s fast growth, loose organization, and corporate culture allowed Donna to make decisions “above her pay grade” and thus demonstrate her ability to perform at higher levels of responsibility.…

She has trouble-shooting meetings for the group and stresses the company goals and what rewards can come from achieving those goals. In addition to directive leadership, she also shows supportive leadership towards her followers. Carol spends time with her individual workers to go over their personal goals and builds up their morale when they are down. Ellen Moore has been assigned to a project in South Korea. The project is a joint venture (JVI) between Western Systems Inc. (WSI), a North American company and Korean Conglomerate Inc. (KCI), a Korean company. Ellen was chosen to run the project on behalf of Andrew Kilpatrick, who is part of the System Consulting group at WSI. Andrew was to manage the project on a part time basis from North America. He chose Ellen to lead project on site as a result of her strengths in project management. Andrew also felt that Ellen’s previous success working in Bahrain showed that she would be able to handle the cultural differences. Andrew was aware of the culture difference in Korea and before he sent Ellen he was assured by American consultants that as long as Ellen was qualified for the position she would be accepted. Andrew wanted to consult the Korean consultants on this matter but was assured by the American consultants that is would be ok. In addition to Ellen, Scott Adams would also join Ellen a few months after her arrival in Korea. Through the last 14 years that I have worked with CSS / El Camino they continually are present in the lives of the individual’s that they serve. A professional example of this is I have worked with 17 plus individuals that have the company as their HPC provider and they have never wanted to change providers. I believe the reason for this is that CSS have a good employee tenure and work hard to make sure that their employees are vested in the mission of the company. Which in turn makes the staff / individual relationships a win –win. The individuals feel the security of their staff and know that they can feel safe and trust an employee who has been empowered to assist, support and involve them in the individual’s life goals. A personal example of this is that CSS staff and the El Camino (Columbia House) have been the only family that my Uncle Sammie has had to rely on. I know that he has only received the best care, love and support from the day that he arrived and was put under their care. He has always has everything that he needs and is spoiled by the dedication that he has been given by his staff. I could not imagine his life anywhere else because he would die from a broken heart if he was taken away from his family. For this I will…

    1. In Buffalo New York, UPS operations prime objective was to find a way to fix the fifty percent a year turnover rate that costs them millions of dollars per year. To do this the company promoted Jennifer Shroeger to District Manager. The first thing she needed to do is to find what was costing the company so much money and why there was so much turnover. She knew that they had high turnover rates resulting in an increase of recruiting, selection, and training costs. She also knew a high rate of turnover could disrupt the efficient running of an organization (Judge, 2007).…
