Dia Beacon Strengths And Weaknesses
Dia Beacon can be evaluated through a situational analysis called the SWOT analysis. Essentially, SWOT analysis stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Dia Beacon has many strengths. In regards to it’s artwork, Dia has a large display and allows for single artists to exhibit their pieces. Also, it supports many different types of artwork and artists, which essentially allows for this broad and unique display to be shown. Dia is open many hours during the week, which allows for individuals to be able to factor in a trip to Dia into their busy schedules. For it’s community Dia does community free days, where citizens of the community do not have to pay to see what Dia Beacon contains. Ultimately, this site has a superb location for business; with it’s location of the Hudson River, Dia was capable of transforming the city of Beacon into an art arena. Though Dia Beacon has a copious amount of strengths, it also has some weaknesses. Many people know little about this site. It is not publicized well and does not connect with nearby communities to draw in more visitors. With this weakness, Dia Beacon would then have to worry about bringing in a …show more content…
They flourish on their strengths, as stated before, and their opportunities. Dia give artists opportunities to display their artwork. Perhaps these artists were struggling with what to do with their art, but with the help of Dia, they have a future. Also, the site flourishes on the idea that learning stems from engagement with art, which inspires individuals. Knowing that what they showcase is influencing those that come leads them to work towards bettering their site. Additionally, Dia Beacon provides internships and collaborates with school programs to promote discovery for individuals. These opportunities allow them to widen their connections by building relations with students and providing a learning experience for them while they visit
