Google defines law as a system of rules that a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and may enforce by the imposition of penalties. The community in question is in fact the Jewish community and their 613 and the 10 commandments. These laws explain how a Jewish person should live in society and with the Jewish community. Some of these laws are a little outdated which brings up the question of what role do the 613 laws play in our everyday lives? According to Judaism 101 law 191 states “Not to sell a Hebrew servant as a slave”. Now in 2016 I can say a strong majority of countries can’t sell people into slavery. According to law 302 “That one who has raped a damsel and has then (in accordance with the law) married her, may not divorce her”.
