Difference Between Basic Research And Applied Research
Answer:
First of all we must know the basic difference between Basic research and Applied research. The differences are given below:
Applied Research: Applied research is basically a scientific study and used to solve practical problems. Its often used to solve everyday problems like cure disease, develop technology etc.
Basic Research: The basic research is driven purely by curiosity and a desire to expand knowledge. This type of research tends not be applicable directly to the real world, but improve our understanding about the world.

Applied Research

The desire to expand knowledge. Curiosity-driven.
Intended to answer why, what or how Questions.
Increase understanding of fundamental Principles.
Does not have immediate commercial objectives.
It may not necessarily result in an invention or a solution to a practical problem. New knowledge acquire has specific commercial objectives: products, procedures or services.
Answers specific questions aimed at solving the practical problem.
