It is said that the teachers are the nation builders, but in doing so, they also face many snags during their professional work. Sometimes there might also be a conflict between the personal and professional ethical values of a person in the professional career (González-Prendes, 2011). Furthermore, personal and professional ethics are also two different things and not the same; but there is also a strong link between the personal ethics and professional ethics. I contemplate that whatever behaviour a person show at his workplace, is actually a mirror of his personal ethical behaviour and thoughts; but still it is peculiar to see some unscrupulous actions at the workplace.

The personal ethics is linked to only one’s own code of ethics whereas the professional ethics represents the rules and regulations within any organization that are to be followed as a whole by the employees regardless of any moral constituent involved in it in some cases (Iyer, 2016). But even in the workplace, some unethical actions being taken by any employee may also be the result of his type of personal ethical values in which he have faith in (Kish-Gephart et al., 2010). I reckon that, I am a teacher or not; ethical codes are always crucial; my personal ethical codes along with my professional codes demand from me to be loyal and respectful to all staff as well as my novices. My professional codes of teaching ethics demand to follow the laws, a hardworking and enthusiastic approach from me in order to make my knowledge always up-to-date in order to deliver quality oriented knowledge to my students. But still some conflicts may also ascend at the workplace due to the mistakes and biases done by the organization (Shapira-Lishchinsky, 2011).
From the above mentioned discussion, a conclusion can be made that personal and professional ethics are not the same thing but they differ to some extent from each other, and it does not also mean that all the professional codes and values might be according to the moral values either.
