Hockey and football have always been compared to one another. Whether which sport is harder, tougher, more fun to play, skill level, and etc. Theres is no doubt that they are both loved sports by North America and takes an extreme amount of skill and training.
Everyone who loves either one of these sports always claims that their sport is tougher and what not. It’s all about personal opinion. I’ve played both and my opinion lies on the hockey side. Why? Well because in hockey you don’t expect to get checked all the time, you get slashed by the sticks quite frequently, every once in a while a player will take a puck to the face and lose teeth, and rarely but it does happen players get smashed through the glass. Also in ice hockey we skate and skating is much faster than running, when we get checked, everyone feels the pain. I’m not here to favor hockey but football also has some bone crushing facts too. Football is played on a football field on grass or turf. Football is generally played outside from around fall to mid winter. Hockey is played on ice, generally inside with the arenas at a comfortable temperature. Hockey is generally played from fall to mid spring.
Regardlessly hockey and football have many similarities. One similarity is that they are both contact sports. Hockey can get just as many injuries as football players. Each sport you are giving and receiving extreme hits, and you put your body to its max.
