Differences Between Romeo And Juliet

What is true love to you? Maybe it’s how you feel when you see your significant other or your best friend. Maybe you think of love is a simple emotion or maybe you don’t even believe in love at all. Well, whatever it is to you, it could be completely different to somebody else. Everybody’s idea of love is different because everybody experiences love differently. Romeo and Juliet thought that love was being completely infatuated with each other and unfortunately they lost their lives over a feeling that would have gone away. Fours days, that’s how long Romeo and Juliet knew each other. This entire story took place in a span of four days, from the moment they met to the moment they killed themselves was only four days. They knew each other a few hours before they decided to get married. You can’t fall in love with someone in a few hours. In my opinion, love at first sight doesn’t exist, so it’s not love it’s attraction. Also we can’t forget that Romeo had just gotten out of a relationship with Rosaline, who he also claimed to love. Juliet might have just been his rebound kinda like what Friar Lawrence said in Act 2, Scene 3, “Is Rosaline, whom thou didst love so dear, so soon forsaken?” (65-66).
