I personally think the movie is less interesting than the movie.
Asher was a drone pilot but in the book he was a recreation director. In the movie, helped jonas escape by not dropping him onto a hard surface. The movie showed the characters showing less emotion even though I could see it visually on a screen. I think the reason the book did a better job than the movie. This is partly from my brain imagining the scenes with more detail and also 75% of the movie was black and white. In the movie when he is sliding down the hill he does not enter the christmas house which was a huge disappointment. The movie skipped through many days and cut to the part when jonas was going to escape the community. I think the reason the movie was shorter so the more exciting scenes could be more
