The Outsiders novel was a great book written by S.E Hinton. The movie was produced by Fred Roos and Gary Fredrickson. I feel the while writing the movie screenplay they left out important parts from the book. In the book Ponyboy passed oout after Dally was shot by the police. Ponyboy was then sick in bed where Randy the Soc visited him and told him that he would be at the court trial. In the movie Ponyboy did not pass out, did not seem to be sick, and they didn’t show them going to court. I prefered the book over the movie because the movie left out a lot off details from the book. The movie did, however, make some references to the book. In the book Sodapop had a horse named Mickey Mouse. Although no horse is mentioned in the
