In the story “Gryphon” by Charles Baxter, a 4th grade class has a weird sub, because their teacher Mr. Hebler got sick. Miss.Ferenczi the sub that tells all these weird stories to the students, although no one actually believes her, but a boy named Tommy does. Tommy defends Miss. Ferenczi stories a boy named Carl and other kids because he likes Miss. Ferenczi because she’s strange and tommy does not get to see things that are mysteries because Five Oaks is not.
