There are many different versions of Romeo and Juliet. I was able to watch three of the numerous versions. The first was the ballet 2000, then the 1936 BW and then the 2015 hallmark. They each tell the story of Romeo and Juliet but in totally distinctive ways. I went through and watched each of the movies, I ranked and evaluated each of them on the same things. I put them in sequence from the worst to the best. The worst movie was the ballet 2000 version.

What you take in most about the Act was the way that Romeo and Juliet spoke. It made it seem like I was back in old times when it actually happened. The best part of this version was how they portrayed the fighting scene and how they prolonged it throughout a length of time. The body language of each character help to show their reactions a lot more and gives it more emphasis on the event that is occurring. Although with every good play there are always bad parts. Some of the things that were distracting was that it was hard to understand what the actors were saying. It got very fuzzy some of the time and it would almost sound like they were stuttering. The play didn’t have much lighting which made it hard to tell what you were supposed to concentrate on. The worst thing was that there were so many characters in the background moving, that it removed your focus away from the main characters to see what the people in the background were doing. When they were, all moving, it is almost like they are trying not to run into each other and then they all get confused and don’t know what to do. Therefore, my judgment on this version is that I don’t feel as though they brought the Act to life or that they made it believable. The final version was my favorite of all of
