The frequency of special education students along with the increasing number of students with different learning styles are two obstacles that teachers commonly face in the classroom today. The practice of differentiating instruction helps teachers address the balance between requirements of accountability and the individual needs of students with diverse learning styles within the classroom. Differentiation allows teachers to focus on essential skills in each content area, individual differences, incorporate assessment into instruction, thereby providing students with multiple avenues to learning. One highly effective tool for managing differentiated instruction is technology. Technology can equip teachers to address students’ needs through content input, learning activities, and opportunities to demonstrate comprehension in alternative ways. Technology is the answer to covering a wide range of content in a short amount of time. For example, some students learn better from group activities, some with audio stimuli, and others are visual learners.
