There are many benefits of modern technology. However, digital distraction can be harmful, both mentally and physically.
For example, In the article it states, “ 58% of pedestrian deaths are kids under age 19. Experts believe these tragedies are mainly due to digital distraction.” (Lewis, 6). This shows that when kids have their noses in their phones and aren’t paying attention to the real world, they can get severely hurt and even killed. This shows how digital distraction is harmful physically. More evidence that digital distraction is harmful is in the story.
