Even with these problems, the practice remains relatively successful. The success of the practice is based off of the leaderships skill that the staff members posses. One leadership trait that all of the members of GSH have is the ability to embrace change. Prior to being under this current management, the practice experienced poor leadership and disorganization which caused the practice to lose clients. The staff’s ability to embrace change is why they are successful today; being under new management is a difficult transition, but when everyone is on board with the changes, and the director guides transition, positive outcomes present themselves. Throughout the transition to being under the management of Access Physical Therapy and Wellness, the director, Cynthia Boccia, envisioned positive things for what was to come, and her positive attitude about the change was contagious, having a spillover effect on her staff. In regards to the critical issues about reimbursement, the staff members demonstrate good leadership skills because they advocate for themselves at meetings, on the other hand, they show emotional maturity. Everyone in this department is team oriented and committed to their roles. They all possess many qualities of an effective
