Disc Golf Research Paper
I have been playing disc golf for the past three years! I have practiced all most all the time. I am at the point that when I play with Noah King he says my disc are magic. There was one time when we were playing and he said my disc was a magic disc and I told him it was not. On the next hole I threw a bad shot, the disc rolled on the ground for a few yards then his a log and jumped right where I wanted it to go. Then right as I turned a round he shouted ‘’I told you so!’’ I think if you asked him if I had magic disc he would tell you I do.

Disc golf is a sport that is played across the world. There are 1,600 disc golf courses in the U.S.A.! The PDGA ranking system is how all the disc golfers that have signed up are ranked. My PDGA number

Golf is a game played on a large open-air course, in which a small hard ball is struck with a club into a series of small holes in the ground. The object being to use the fewest possible strokes to complete the course. Golf began around 1457 when King James ll of Scotland banned Golf and football because he wanted people to focus on archery. The first major item you need to play golf is a golf ball. Some of the first golf balls were made entirely of hardwood, such as beech and box trees. These balls appeared during the 15th century and remained in use until the 17th century. Of course, a typical wooden golf ball would only last for a few games before it needed to be replaced. An alternative type of golf ball, known as a feathery, also appeared around the era of the wooden ball. A feathery was basically a leather pouch filled with chicken or goose feathers. Due to the extensive labor and materials required, a single feathery ball would often cost the modern-day equivalent of $10-$20. Today we now use many materials into making golf balls, but the majority can be broken down into three categories: rubbers, ionomers and urethanes. The second major item you need is a club. In the earliest days of golf, players initially carved their own clubs from wood. They soon turned to skilled craftsmen to produce competitive equipment. Club heads were made from tough wood such as beech, holly, pear and apple. Shafts were made from ash or hazel. The head was connected to the shaft using a splint and…

Golf is the most difficult sport in the world. Between driving, the short game, and putting, being able to consistently put all three skills together is even tough for the pros. If you’re a beginning golfer, the best way to bring those scores down is to focus on your short game. The short game is usually 125 yards or less, and involves chipping onto the green and hitting out of sand traps. Most beginning golf club sets just don’t include a sand wedge, and go from pitching wedge to putter. If you really want to enjoy the game of golf and improve your scores, you should definitely buy a wedge to handle the short game. If you’re a beginning golfer looking to round out your club set with a good wedge, you’re in luck! I’ve done hours of research…

Paintball was not really a sport when it started out. The forestry department and logging companies were using spray paint to mark trees, and that took way too long, so they got in touch with a company called "Nelson Paints", who had made squirt guns that used paint in the 1940's, to come up with an easier way to mark the trees. Charles Nelson started working on pelletized paint, and so he made a cast for pellets of paint with some wood. The caliber of the pellet was .68, and that is still the same caliber for the pellets used to this day. So then Nelson Paints asked another called on "Crossman", a company that still makes BB guns, to come up with a sort of airsoft gun that could shoot these pellets of paint. The gun they made together is called the Crossman 700, or the Nelspot 707. That was the first…

Many people know what a tennis racket is, it is used as a extended arm for hitting the tennis ball to the other side of the court (opponents side) to score. During the old days of tennis, about 900 years ago, people have been using their hand as a tennis racket, but it is evolved to pallas then wooden rackets, but the pallas and wooden rackets are really hard to control since it only have a really small racket head size so that it will be harder to hit the sweet spot (center) to have more accuracy on the ball. But after the new/ modern tennis “Graphite racket” was invented, we can now have more control, more accuracy, more spin, more speed for the shots. (GGN. (2011). Evolution of the Tennis Racquet) Now let’s look at how it relates to the Newton’s Laws of Motion.…

When a rubber ball collides with an immobile flat surface (like massive marble floor), the object will rebound with some fraction of its original energy. If the collision is perfectly elastic, then the ball will rebound with all of the energy it arrived with and its rebound velocity will be the same as its approach velocity. In this case, the coefficient of restitution is said to…
