Title: Advantages and disadvantages of disciplining children.
Disciplining children is vitally important because it is the basis of building better families and societies. The way a family or a society deals with discipline can be different from each other but they are all aimed to achieve the same things. There can be advantages and disadvantages that children can experience out of these disciplines. Thus, this essay will evaluate the advantages and disadvantages children can face from discipline. Disciplining children brings positive impacts and is considered more strongly than the disadvantages of it.
Firstly, the disciplining of children by parents can be considered as a disadvantage because it can create bad relationships between the children and their parents. Many parents think that proper disciplining of children when they do something wrong is through physical punishment (Philip J Schluter, 2007). Physical punishment in the pacific islands is very cruel in the sense that parents can smack or beat their children using foreign objects like stick, knife, rope and so forth. They thought that by the beatings, children would learn from their mistakes and avoid doing them again (Philip J Schluter, 2007).
