The community “are a groups of disciples and social group” (Swales, 217)of engineers which are referred to as a Discourse Community. Essentially, Thorat’s audience and discourse community are those of who are highly anticipating new technology and basic engineering skills. His articles focus on engineering concepts. He mostly focuses on softwares and design projects to support those who want to become engineers. Thorat is presenting and communicating to primarily towards engineers in his website as for his use of terminology and concepts that would normally be used with engineers and allow engineers to relate to what is being said in the project which would allow the readers to be engaged towards the information and …show more content…
Each project has a certain lesson and function. There are pictures of projects as one is to scroll through the website. There is also a simple description of each project on the top left of it’s picture. There are also brief summary of each project next to each picture of the projects. Going through some of the projects, one can tell that Thorat’s tone is informative due to his projects giving in-depth review of softwares and how to do certain projects in procedures. Thorat only describes what the projects are and what is the meaning behind how they work. For example, on Thorat’s “Seminar on Magneto Abrasive Flow Machining,” he gives an overview of what is “Magneto Abrasive Flow”, what topics that “Magneto Abrasive Flow” are related to, principles that belong to “Magneto Abrasive Flow” that follow, and mechanism to build a model of a “Magneto Abrasive Flow” concept. Thorat go through to demonstrate and help understand the concept of the project and how it is built. Thorat first demonstrates what the finished product of the project will look like and adds details within the diagram to explain what each part of the system is with arrows demonstrating the flow and movement of the subject, Magneto Abrasive Flow, through the system itself. There are also explanations to the to how the project works, what are the
