Darby took the practice test and earned a 12 on it. There is training at Sylvan and also Seaman offers some training in the Fall. To prep for the test, Mrs. Allacher said that the best suggestion is to have the student take the practice test the weekend before, making Darby sit for 4 hours. The only accommodations now allowed on the ACT, are large print and extended time. Darby did attend four classes on ACT prep. Mom said Darby would take the ACT in the Fall and Spring. Mrs. Allacher said if Darby wants to attend college he could do it, based on his grades. Mrs. Allacher suggested that Darby take the ACT in the Spring – April or June of his Junior year. Then retake it in the Fall of his Senior year in September or October. The district is thinking of administering the ACT test date for all students at Seaman.
