What makes women able to do physically demanding jobs?
Women are able to adapt to complete jobs men usually do, by using different techniques that a men would not use in that field. Women usually think outside the box while in these positions.
4. Why should men support equal pay for women?
Men supporting women equal rights will close the gap of women getting paid less on the dollar. If a man was to marry women and have the same job as her and get paid more, this would be less money for the household. As a result the house hold will suffer. Having equal pay will allow these mothers to spend more time with their families, save for their children’s education, and retirement security. Now a lot of women are single mothers, getting less causes less money on groceries, housing, child care, and other expenses. I sure some have seen their mother of a mother experience this. Men should support equal pay based on some of these facts.
5. Why stereotypes of women are dangerous in the workplace and what stereotypes have you noticed in the media or in the
workplace?
Music and movies consistently display stereotypes in the workplace, such as women working a witness not making enough money to provide for all the children she has. If the women does have a great job compared to her male counterpart, she usually because a sex symbol or files discrimination charges against a male worker. Usually seen as a trouble maker for filing charges being treated unfair.
6. According to the chapter, what can women do to break the glass or concrete ceiling? According to the text women need to build professional network and relationships. The way this can be done is finding a mentor.
